Where to buy safely? T6C and T10C at factory store
Today we’re talking about true wireless earbuds from the chinese brand Awei: the T6C and the T10C. Both have small cases, considering their respective styles. The 6 has a more compact build, while the 10 resembles the Apple Airpods.
Let’s start from the latter one, the T10C. The idea here is being a budget product without compromising funcionality. Both the case and the capsules are pretty basic in plastic, with no shining parts or anything, and that’s a good thing after all.
I like the ergonomics, because it took me no time to understand what was their best fit – I just put them in my ears and everything was good. They provide average sealing and will be OK to use while walking, but maybe not while running. I was able to listen to music for hours with them and I felt no pain.
For sound quality, I rate them 7.9 out of 10. Audio is warm, that is, low frequencies show up more. The treble comes next and the mid tones are the least noticeable. So, in songs with very strong bass, the voices get a little bit swallowed, but I think the product did well in general use. Not much to complain about considering the price range of less than thirty dollars.
Battery life is acceptable. In my use, they supported about 3 hours and 40 minutes of continuous listening, and the case was able to recharge them 4 times. The real highlight is that the case is enabled for wireless charging, a nice feature for a product like this. Also, signal stability was good since I didn’t experience any sound drop.
I found the bluetooth range to be just average. We have bluetooth 5.O here, that’s nice, but the signal usually starts to fail in less than 10 meters. It won’t bother most people in everyday use but I wanted to point it out anyway.
In addition, they have touch controls to every command: skip tracks, change volume and answering calls. So many options may be a bit confusing, but they work well.
Then we have the T6C, a smaller model which has a similar case, although more compact. Instead of touch controls, this one brings physical buttons in each capsule, which I personally prefer. These provide a better sealing than the T10C, so they have a stronger passive noise cancelling, but they also make my ears hurt in less time. There’s no perfect product right? 😉
The sound profile for the T6C is what puzzled me. It’s a very peculiar outline, in which the middle tones seem to come out ahead. To be honest, I’d say the audio lacks something, at least to my taste. I ended up finding these nice earbuds to listen to podcasts on the streets, since the midtones are a plus for that use, and the capsules also hold tight in my ears.
They have a similar battery life, lasting about 3 hours and 20 minutes of continuous listening. And yes, they’re also wireless charging compatible.
Both earbuds are sweat and splash proof, so if they fit you well, you’ll be able to use them while jogging or so.
Let’s make some comparisons: I found the T10C to be on the same level as well-known BlitzWolf or Xiaomi budget earbuds. As for the T6C, I think they fall a little bit behind those because of that midtones situation. That’s a somewhat subjective matter, but this is my opinion.
I didn’t know the Awei brand, and after testing those 2 models, I have a good feeling about them now. Neither of those are exactly brilliant, but they’re good current generation earbuds: they work smoothly, presenting no major problems with signal drop, and end up being very good for casual use. Wireless charging is a big plus, especially at this price range of around $20.
My favorites are the T10C, and if we think about it, they usually cost less than a lot of competitors, delivering wireless charge as a differential. Not bad at all.
